The storyline of the book is about a doctor who is American and a cancer specialist and a Soviet Politburo Chief who has leukemia. Poe by J. Lincoln Fenn

This was a book that had it all ghosts, haunting and a good murder mystery. This was the authors first book and could be confusing in spots. The title is a little misleading since this book has nothing to do with Edgar Allan Poe. I think it could have used some fine tuning, but I'm sure as this author writes more she will improve. ***I received this book in exchange for an honest review****

Martyr's Fire by Sigmond Brouwer

As I began reading this book I realized I should have read the first two in the series, as some of the characters were introduced in those books and their history had begun. But with that said, the story was so full of mystery that it kept you guessing about how everything would end up. The book is set during the Medieval times of castles, noblemen, knights, the druids, the holy Grail and deep dark dungeons. In this segment fifteen monks of the Priests of the Holy Grail arrive in Magnus. They preformed tricks to make the people think the were miracles and believe in them. Thomas tries to stay hidden but his cover is blown by a friend. Though I would recommend reading this book after the first two.

The Ghosts of Belfast is the story of Gerry Fegan an ex-hitman for the IRA. After leaving Maze Prison Gerry starts drinking and is nearly drunk every night, and he starts to see the ghosts of twelve people he has killed and they want vengeance on those who were responsible. All Gerry wants is to sleep aand have some peace so he plans the murders. This is a well written and informative book about the IRA. The characters are well thought out, there is alot of violence and brutal murders. I highly recommend this book. Thank you to Net Galley and Soho Crime for allowing me to read and give my honest review of this fine novel.

Lost Beneath the Ice by Andrew Cohen

This is a story about a ship the HMS Investigator was sent on a mission to find Sir John Franklin who was lost at sea.The Investigator's Captain Robert McClure had his own agenda, he never found Sir John but he did find the Northwest Passage. This book tells the story of the hardships suffered by the Investigators crew and officers, while they were stuck in the ice for three winters. The ship remained a mystery for a century and a half until in 2010 when the Parks Canada sent a team to find it. This was a well told story and the research was excellent. Thanks to Net Galley and Dundurn for allowing me to read this book.

Rosslyn Chapel Decoded by Alan Butler

Of the few books I have read about the Chapel this is by far the most informative. I learned so much about architecture, art, the many religions and the many mysteries surrounding the Chapel and the Sinclairs. The pictures showed what a wonderful and beautiful place it truly is. I want to visit Scotland some day and the Chapel is on my list, but while reading, I truly felt like I was there. Wonderfully written and I highly recommended it. I wrote this review based on a digital ARC from the publisher Watkins Publiushing and Net Galley.

The Governess of Highland Hall by Carrie Turansky

Julia Forster is hired as a governess for William Ramsey's 2 children, the story is set in the early 1900's England. She has just returned to England after being in India as a missionary with her parents. The family had to return to England because her father became ill and she needed a job to help support the family, The storyline was well written and the description of Highland Hall was as though I was in the rooms. I enjoyed reading it immensely.

And Then Came Peace by Greg Masse

This book has a wonderful storyline and characters that at times feel real, such as Mikha'll and his speeches. This author has an extensive knowledge of the worlds religions and tells them in way that I found mesmerizing. Although my religious beliefs are not that strong this book has given me food for thought that maybe someday there can really be peace. I received this book from the publisher in return for an honest review.

Falling into Place by Hattie Kaufman

Hattie told us her story from her sad and painful childhood right through her marriage, divorce and religious conversion. She gives us hope that something bad can turn out wonderful! She gives people hope that they can obtain whatever they want if only they try and persist, I find it admirable that she finally finds God after so many years of running from it. This was a book of life and faith. 5 stars
