Captain Dalton just returned to England from the New World after being imprisoned. The history of this is slowly brought to light, he is then sent to Scotland to be the excise tax man, This was a refreshing story of Scotland, a big difference from England or America. The characters were well written as was the storyline. I enjoyed this book immensely . ***I received this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review***
