Deadly Tasting by Jean-Pierre Alaux and Noel Balen

Another Benjamin Cooker mystery. This time Benjamin is called to a murder scene by the police inspector Barbaroux. The victim is an elderly gentleman who was horribly murdered and a circle of twelve wine glasses with one full and the others empty, with each murder another glass is filled with wine. Benjamin has little patience with the inspector as his wife has put him on a diet, he is quite abrupt with the inspector to get on with it. This is another fine translation and well written story. I can't wait to read the next installment. ***I received this book in exchange for an honest review***.

Out of Dublin by Ethel Rohan

Ethel Rohan has written a powerful book about her unhappy life. She speaks of the hard life she led growing up and even after, it was filled with mental illness, not thinking she was good enough or pretty enough and living in a family of eight. This was a heart wrenching well written story of life of life and death. Wonderful!! ***I received this book in exchange for an honest review***
