This book has voodoo, a dead wealthy financier found dead in a horrible way and a wife who is crazy. Colin Pendragon and Ethan Pruitt investigate the death and other murders linked to the first death. Well written story line, good characters and a stimulating read. Thomas Potts investigates the death and mutilation of a woman found on a haystack,by a vagrant, she was wearing men's clothes with no identification. John Foss has an unexpected accident at the train station, he is helped by another passenger he is invited to a country hose,Bragley Court,where she is a guest. Serious things start to happen like a dog is killed,a painting destroyed and two people are murdered. But you must read it to solve the mystery . Cognac Conspiracies by Jean Pierre Alaux and Noel Balen

Benjamin and Virgile are back when a Chinese company hires Benjamin to do an audit to see if the cognac business is worth it to take over. Benjamin meets a former lover and really does not like the family that owns the vineyard so Virgile takes over while Benjamin visits his former lover. This is another well written storyline and of course wonderful characters and a great translation. Bring on the next one!!!! I received this book in exchange for an honest review!!!

This is a collection of seventeen crime stories. These show how authors wrote crime stories in London, they go in order by year. I totally enjoyed them all they were well written with great story lines with both good and bad characters. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Mayhem in Margaux by Jean Pierre Alaux and Boel Balen

Benjamin Cooker and his assistant Virgile are back this time they are in the middle of a heat wave and they are visiting vineyards trying yo figure a way to save the grapes. Benjamin's daughter is visiting from the US and goes on a date with a supervisor from one of the vineyards, she is involved in a car accident and Benjamin becomes suspicious and of course the investigation begins. Thorncroft Manor by Nora Covington

A lovely novella that includes romance,suspense and a bit of danger. Finished it in one night, I enjoyed the plot and all the characters. I received this book in return for an honest review.

The Notting Hill Mystery by Charles Adams

This was a mystery that was never really solved,but it was attention grabbing. It was a narrative written through testimony given by various suspects and professionals. It took me a little longer to read but it was a good book. I received this in exchange for an honest review.
