From Bruges with Love by Pieter Aspe

This is the first Van In, the Belgian Police Commissioner. He usually works with the deputy Prosecutor, who happens to be his wife. In this case a young girl finds a bone while playing in her backyard and it happens to be human. Good story line and interesting characters, it was fun finding out about the Belgian culture and hearing about the type of food they eat. ***I received this book in exchange for an honest review***

Flambe in Armagnac by Jean-Pierre Alaux and Neil Balen

Benjamin is back with Virgile this time they are estimating the damage done at Armagnac estate by a fire in which the master distiller was also killed. The loss was substantial and the insurance company needs a dollar amount. I found this one as good as the other books I have read in this series,good story line and believable characters. ***I received this book in exchange for an honest review***

The Religious Body by Catherine Aird

Inspector Sloan and Constable Crosby are called in when a nun is found at the bottom of the basement stairs at the Convent of St Anselma. Sloan is very uncomfortable at the Convent and dealing with the other nuns. This is another short mystery about a thrift store owner that finds a first edition of an Agatha Christie book signed by the author inscribed to the Queen of England, but then it disappears and she must find it. A historical mystery based on a vendetta by relatives of the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith's ancestors. A rare book dealer Michael Bevan hears about an original copy of an early Mormon book but he must get it authenticated.
