Death is a Certainty by Ted York

A group of assassins are assembled to kill people all over Britain, Ludvig Korosvek an ex-KGB officer is the head of the operation . He recruits two people who have worked for him before, Ivan and Katya who in turn recruits the assassins, they are Russian and Bulgarians. All goes well until one of the assassins try to kill Colonel John Harriman, the head of an elite security company, that causes his company to start an investigation involving several government agencies, you will wonder how and why the deaths are ordered but you must read the book to find out. Wee-written storyline and characters are wonderful, it could have used more background info on Co. Harriman, but otherwise a wonderful book. Thanks to Net Galley and Matadoe for allowing me to read this fine book.

Murder in E Minor by Robert Goldsborough

Another splendid Nero Wolfe Mystery. The niece of an old friend of Nero's comes to ask him to try to find out who has been sending her uncle threatening notes, Her uncle is the conductor of the New York Symphony and very stubborn and won't go go to see Nero so Archie accompanies the niece Maria home to try to get her uncle to see Nero, after telling Archie to wait in the lobby she then goes into the apartment and goes into her uncle office and finds him dead. This was a well written book and of course the characters were great, I felt as though I was watching a Nero Wolfe movie.

Swastika Nation by Arnie Bernstein

Swastika Nation is the story of the German American Bund and its leader Fritz Kuhn in pre World War II times. Kuhn was a trained chemist and also a thief, he stole money from the Bund treasury to keep his many mistresses, he was eventually tried and imprisoned in Sing Sing for embezzlement. He had once worked for Henry Ford who who was known as an anti-Semitic. The historical research and storyline were wonderful and the characters although sleazy were written with great care. Thanks to Net Galley and St. Martins for allowing me to read this in exchange for an honest review.
